Applicants:

  1. should hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university or equivalent; and
  2. should have a degree from a university in Hong Kong or an English speaking country/region; or submit one of the following original score reports/certificates* for assessment:
    • TOEFL (minimum score:  79 internet-based);
    • IELTS (Academic) (Band 6.5 or above);
    • College English Test (CET 6) of the PRC (450 or above) ; and
  3. will be given preference with a background in social sciences and/or humanities.

 

*The submitted proof should be attained within 2 years prior to the date of the issuance of our Admission Offer letter, including the proof of College English Test (CET 6) of the PRC. 

TUITION FEE

The tuition fee of the whole Programme for AY 2022-2023 is HK$107,800 which is payable in two semesters for 1 year Full-time programme. Some courses (please visit Course List page for details) in MSocSc (Contemporary China Studies) are reimbursable by the Continuing Education Fund (CEF) courses. Eligible applicants for the CEF will be reimbursed their tuition fees, subject to a maximum sum of HK$20,000. You may also visit the CEF website for more information.

ACADEMIC AWARDS & OTHER SUBSIDIES

Scholarship in the MCCS Programme is Merit-based and will be given to students who achieve outstanding academic performance.
