Visit the Legislative Council Complex & have a dialogue with Legislative Council member

    The visit deepened students’ understanding of Hong Kong’s constitutional order under “One Country, Two Systems” and how the Legislative Council functions, including the progression of bills from first to third readings, the committees’ division of labor, and the channels available for public participation.

     

    In dialogue with Dr. Hong Wen, students explored how legislators advance youth development, innovation and technology, and livelihood policies, while also examining institutional differences between Hong Kong and Mainland China and identifying opportunities for collaboration.

     

    Students were highly engaged throughout their exchanges with Dr. Hong Wen and the Legislative Council docent.
